Maysteel Names New President

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – J. Monte Roach has been named president and chief executive officer of Maysteel LLC, a leading manufacturer of precision sheet metal enclosures.

“We’re delighted that Monte has joined Maysteel and the Everett Smith Group,” said J. Douglas Gray, president and chief executive officer of Everett Smith Group, Ltd., Maysteel’s corporate parent. “Monte has a strong background in strategic planning, marketing, sales, operational improvement, manufacturing best practices and Lean principles. His experience in metal fabrication and assembly and his knowledge of electrical markets are a good fit with Maysteel’s core businesses.”

Roach comes to Maysteel from Actuant, a $1.3 billion diversified, publically traded industrial company, where he was president of the Americas Electrical Group. Previously he served as vice president - general manager at Invensys Controls and Emerson Electric, and held progressively responsible positions in engineering, marketing and sales at Allen-Bradley - Rockwell Automation. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science/electronics technology from Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
