Trinetics is a division of Hubbell Power Systems, Inc. specializing in designing, engineering and manufacturing components and assemblies for the electrical distribution industry. The company’s products are widely used by electrical utilities, co-operatives, and municipalities for power factor correction, voltage control, metering, lighting control, and feeder control, as well as in a variety of commercial and industrial applications. Trinetics specializes in providing a wide range of targeted capacitor switching systems, using multiple technologies including oil, vacuum, and synchronous vacuum switching. Trinetics was founded in 1968 and was acquired by Maysteel, LLC in 1998. Trinetics has its headquarters and primary manufacturing operations in Menomonee Falls, WI.


1932 - RCOC Lighting Control Relays first marketed to Distribution Utilities.
1968 - Trinetics is founded as a partnership to manufacture coils, buzzers and electronic devices for the OEM market. Nole Walters eventually buys out the other partners and becomes sole owner, managing the firm until its sale to Maysteel three decades later.
1987 - Trinetics acquires the RCOC (Remote Control of Outdoor Circuits) product line from South Bend Controls and with it the CSD capacitor oil switch and RCOC relay product lines.
1992 - Trinetics celebrates its 25th anniversary.
1994 - Trinetics develops the VS Vacuum Switch.
1998 - Trinetics is acquired by Maysteel LLC.
1999 - Trinetics production moved from Mishawaka, Ind. to Menomonee Falls, WI.
2002 - Trinetics develops UtraVac Solid Dielectric motor operated switch.
2006 - Trinetics adds solenoid operation to the UltraVac® Switch.
2008 - Trinetics develops UltraSync1 Switch.
2012 - Trinetics is acquired by Hubbell Power Systems, Inc.
